Hello! My name is Jo. After I left full time work as a university lecturer, I decided to take the opportunity to put my efforts into the thing I love most, caring for cats and small animals.

I have lived with cats my whole life, so I know how their funny minds work, and I understand their individual needs. I am fully insured with Petplan Sanctuary and hold a regularly updated Enhanced DBS certificate.

I currently own Mr Pickle, a Maincoon Tonkinese cross who loves the great outdoors – check him out in the Gallery. I have over 50 years’ experience caring for small animals and feline friends including kittens and older cats, so I can adapt care to suit your needs.

There is nothing worse than worrying about a cat’s safety and well-being whilst away. Cats are territory animals and happiest at home, secure in their own space and routine. That’s why so many cats find it extremely stressful in a cattery. I’ll do my utmost to ensure that your cat is happy and well cared for, so you can have a worry-free trip away.

All new customers have a ‘meet and greet’ in-person visit so we can get to know each other, and I can meet your pet(s). This happens before sitting begins, so you can talk me through their needs. I will collect information about their habits, diet, medical requirements and what makes them feel happy, safe and secure.

Together we complete a detailed Booking Information Form which is emailed to you for checking. I also collect house keys and learn how to access, manage and secure your home including alarm systems etc.

When you’re away, if your pet needs urgent care, I will get in touch with you, or your preferred emergency contact. I am insured as a pet taxi so I can provide transport for vet visits if needed.

I send WhatsApp updates and photographs of your pets to provide you with regular reassurance while you’re away.
